Authorised Economic Operator
AEO certification is an internationally recognised quality mark indicating that our role in the international supply chain is secure, and that our customs controls and procedures are efficient and compliant. Authorised Economic Operators are subject to less stringent day-to-day customs controls which improves supply chain efficiency. IFL was granted AEO accreditation in 2010.
Post-Brexit the AEO accreditation will enable the company to obtain early approval to comply with the new UK customs regimes being introduced to control the transit of goods to and from the 27 EU countries. This will include the increase in guarantee levels required to facilitate the movement of goods without customs border checks thereby speeding up customers’ supply chains.
FORS Bronze accreditation
The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) is an accreditation scheme for compliant, safe and efficient fleet management. It audits operators to ensure that they meet key legal, safety, and environmental standards, from driver training and vehicle safety to fuel efficiency and operational best practice. The award is valid for 12 months to ensure standards remain current.
Road Haulage Association
The Road Haulage Association (RHA) is a long-standing British trade association, representing members of the road haulage industry and allied businesses. It provides our company with technical support, ensuring that we are aware of legal changes within the distribution industry, and that we understand and adapt to regulatory change.

The British International Freight Association (BIFA) is the trade association for UK-registered companies engaged in international movement of freight by all modes of transport – air, road, rail and sea. It offers expert legal representation, as well as advice and training, and helps keep companies up to date on freight and logistics industry news.
