The newest addition to our ever-expanding IFL fleet has arrived – and what a beauty it is.
Our brand new Volvo FH Aero is the latest in a series of upgrades to renew our existing cargo fleet to be more fuel-efficient and to comply with new emissions and safety standards. This investment forms part of an ongoing programme to reduce our environmental impact. We’re also happy to hear that the FH Aero has won the 2025 Green Truck Award for the most fuel-efficient long-haul truck.
Aerodynamic design brings fuel efficiency
This new model has been designed with enhanced aerodynamics to reduce fuel consumption and emissions by up to 5% compared with the standard Volvo FH. The cab is 24cm longer and features a more rounded frontal area to improve airflow, all of which helps with our drive to a more sustainable future.

IFL’s dedicated team of drivers and transports
The Volvo FH Aero will be used to carry out a variety of duties, including transporting freight to and from Birmingham and the West Midlands for our European groupage service and UK pallet services, and also as part of our membership of Palletways’ UK network. We’d also like to give a special shout-out to our drivers who bring their experience and dedication daily to make IFL work. Our drivers are the backbone of our operation, consistently demonstrating exceptional skill and dedication on every journey. They navigate challenging routes and schedules with remarkable efficiency and a commitment to safety that is truly commendable. Their professionalism and positive attitude shine through, making them fantastic ambassadors for our company. We deeply appreciate their hard work and the outstanding job they do day in and day out.
In particular this month, we’d like to thank John Little (pictured below), our super C1 driver who recently reached a milestone of nine years’ service with IFL. He is a valuable asset to Team IFL. Congrats John!
