For 21 years, International Forwarding Ltd (IFL) has been a member of the UK’s number one pallet network: Palletways UK. But what does that mean and what are the benefits for customers of pallet delivery through IFL and Palletways?
Palletways was founded in 1994 and over 25,000 pallets travel through its network every day, collected from and delivered to over 115 UK member depots across the UK.
As a member depot based in Birmingham, IFL cover 16 postcodes within the Midlands area as part of Palletways, for both collection and delivery of palletised freight: B25-28, 33, 34, 36, 37, 40, 46,48, 90-93.
How pallet delivery works with a hub model
When you book a UK pallet delivery through IFL, you benefit from Palletway’s large transport and distribution network. So how does it work?
1 Collection
Once you’ve prepared your pallet, you can book a collection slot on our site. Once complete, one of Palletways’ members covering your collection post code will be with you to collect the pallet.
2 Hub and processing
They then transport your pallet to the nearest Palletways hub to be processed and assigned to another Palletways’ members for onward delivery.
3 Delivery
Your pallet is then dispatched for delivery and can be tracked throughout with proof of delivery available in real-time.
What are the benefits for customers?
The hub model provides a more sustainable shipping solution for sending palletised goods. The key benefits for customers are:
