Have you spotted the newest member to our fleet around the Midlands yet?
Our new 12-tonne DAF truck has a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of 12,000 kg, with a payload capacity of around 6.5 tonnes, and typical carrying dimensions of 6.3 metres in length, 2.5 metres in width, and 2.3 metres in height. It’ll be mostly be used to transport palletised road freight around Birmingham and the West Midlands, and as part of our membership of the Palletways network. It also supports a range of established local industries, such as automotive logistics, enabling efficient delivery of parts and components for our customers in that sector.”
The new addition forms part of a series of upgrades to renew our cargo fleet to be more fuel-efficient, comply with new emissions standards and to continue to service businesses in Birmingham’s Clean Air Zone (CAZ). It will shortly be joined by another 12-tonne and 18-tonne coming into the fleet, as well as two new trailers
This latest investment forms part of an ongoing programme to reduce our environmental impact.
