IFL helps deliver winter clothing to homeless

When a Birmingham clothing business approached us to help deliver 3,000 garments going to rough sleepers this winter, International Forwarding (IFL) was happy to offer pallet delivery free of charge.

UKM Print & Embroidery, based in Birmingham and Redditch, has been offering garment-decorating services for over 30 years. Managing director Rowan said they wanted to donate 3,000 pieces of clothing specifically to charities and community workers helping vulnerable adults and children who are homeless this winter. So far they have donated t-shirts, jackets, sweatshirts, hoodies, polos, beanies, scarves and blankets to various groups around the UK that directly feed or help the homeless.

“We wanted to do our part during the pandemic and felt it was essential to do so during the winter months. We would like to give a special thank you to IFL and Palletways who offered their expertise in logistical services to distribute these garments around the UK free of charge. This will help ensure that rough sleepers in the UK get warm clothes and the essentials they need to survive.”

The pallet will be delivered to Pinner, Middlesex, this week by IFL through the Palletways UK distribution network.
