IFL adds third Volvo FH Aero to satisfy UK haulage demand
Birmingham-based International Forwarding Ltd (IFL) is focused on playing a key role in this landscape as part of its ongoing growth strategy in the Midlands. In the past month, IFL has added a third Volvo FH Aero tractor unit to its fleet. This brings the company’s total investment to 12 new vehicles and trailers in the past year, with further fleet expansion and modernisation planned.

Fleet upgrades aimed at reducing carbon footprint
Built for efficiency, safety and sustainability, and designed with advanced aerodynamics, the new FH Aero model reduces fuel consumption and emissions by up to 5% versus the standard Volvo FH. Its longer cab and more rounded front enhance airflow efficiency. In 2025, it also won the Green Truck Award for the most fuel-efficient long-haul truck.
This is our third Volvo FH Aero tractor unit and it will be used to deliver reliable UK haulage services nationwide. It is seen here with one of our new trailers, the Ecodek double-deck trailer – another welcome addition which helps us increase efficiency thanks to the larger load capacity, reduce costs and improve safety.
