Once again our staff have been fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support, and they’ve had a mountain to climb to reach their target – literally.
On 10 May, two IFL employees successfully summited Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the British Isles at 1,345m above sea level.
Peter Shipley, Warehouse Supervisor (pictured right), and Mark Carolan, Class 1 driver, have previously hiked long-distance but this was a real bucket list challenge. The terrain was tough and the views were incredible although, as you can see, they were treated to the finest Scottish mists when they reached the top.
The duo have smashed their target, raising £560, but would appreciate any extra support for this great cause.

Pete, who has previously hiked Hadrian’s Wall Path, Snowdonia Way and the South Downs Way, said: “We’d really appreciate any extra support we can get. Macmillan gives people with cancer fantastic support. If you’re diagnosed, your worries are Macmillan’s worries. But without your help, Macmillan can’t support everyone who needs them. Please help as much as you can.”
International Forwarding donated £100 in support, saying: “We’ve all been touched by cancer one way or another so Team IFL is proud to support Pete and Mark on this great challenge for an amazing cause.”
