With less than two weeks to go until the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, we’d like to wish our European partners good luck in the championship.
As a pan-European freight forwarder, International Forwarding (IFL) has many transport partner friends with national teams in World Cup. These include Germany, Spain, Denmark, Poland, Netherlands, Belgium, Wales and, of course, the 2018 World Cup winners France. Extra good luck, however, goes to Switzerland who must face 4-1 favourites Brazil in their group.
Andy Grubb, IFL Sales Director, added: “We would like to take this opportunity to wish all our partner countries taking part the very best of luck. With the Women’s England team bringing it home earlier in the year, the men now need to stand up and be counted!”
Transport and logistics have already played a significant role in Qatar’s preparation, including building a brand new metro in Doha for transportation and the construction of Stadium 974 which is partly made from 974 shipping containers and which will be dismantled and repurposed after the tournament ends.
The FIFA World Cup 2022 runs from 20 November to 18 December – one of the busiest times of year for freight and logistics – so we’re grateful there aren’t too many 1pm GMT kickoffs!
