Amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) global outbreak, I want to reassure you of our plans and priorities over the coming months. We plan to continue operating as usual where possible, ensuring service is maintained through this difficult time. While taking our own precautions, we will follow government advice on the best course of action to protect our staff and customers.
We have reduced direct contact with customers where possible and reduced travel. To protect our essential on and off-site workers, we are introducing measures to provide them with the necessary equipment to carry out their duties, including additional sanitation equipment. We have also taken steps to minimise contact between staff on site to reduce personal contact as much as possible, to reduce the risk of any cross- contamination.
As an integrated part of the UK transport, logistics and home delivery sector we will work to ensure continuous support for our customers, especially at a time where these services are vital to support the Government’s response to the virus.
Should stricter quarantine rules come into place, International Forwarding will respond to these as and when we have further details, but will, throughout this situation, do everything we possibly can to maintain service. The customer service, operations and bookings teams will still be contactable on existing phone numbers with no loss of service or support to you as our customers.
We are preparing our business for the anticipated economic impact of the virus, and we kindly ask that you work with us through this difficult time to allow us to continue supporting you and providing a high level of service using the professionalism and dedication of our staff.
