The 28th BIFA Awards ceremony was held in London last Thursday with International Forwarding directors attending after IFL was shortlisted in the European Logistics category.
The British International Freight Association (BIFA) Awards celebrates high standards and professionalism in the freight and logistics industry. We were proud to have been shortlisted in this prestigious competition for expansion in our core UK-European service offering, including making new connections with European partners and expanding our fleet and capacity.
Although we didn’t scoop the category prize this time around, IFL’s managing director Rob Pike did get to meet the host, former Olympic swimming champion Sharron Davies MBE, so… winning!
Rob Pike said: “We are honoured that International Forwarding was shortlisted among the best in the industry. We’re always striving to develop IFL’s service offering for our customers, particularly across our core UK-European network. We have made a few contacts who we are in discussions with for reciprocal work so it was hopefully worth going – even if we didn’t win on the day.”
Robert Keen, BIFA Director General, added: “The BIFA Freight Service Awards are not just about rewarding excellence. The luncheon is an excellent networking event, cementing existing relationships between members and guests, and making new ones. I congratulate every company and individual who took the time and trouble to enter our Freight Service Awards competition 2016.”
