Christmas is coming – and many will be shopping earlier and closer to home this year to ensure the sleigh arrives with goods on board.
As everyone knows, it’s been a challenging year for shipping with the Suez Canal obstruction in March, and both driver and fuel shortages adding to the supply chain crunch as economies re-opened from Covid-19 restrictions.
For UK-Europe road freight, there have also been the changes to European shipping post-Brexit. And there are further changes to come to border procedures from 1 January 2022, when full import-export controls and checks will be in place.
We want to reassure customers that we always do our best to ensure a smooth and safe delivery at competitive rates. However, we do recommend allowing plenty of leeway to get your freight consignments booked in, especially for European groupage in the run-up to Christmas.
