It’s the most busiest time of the year as we take final delivery orders for Christmas and the New Year (here’s our schedule of final pallet delivery dates.)
Looking back at 2018, it’s been a year of uncertainty for UK freight forwarders as Brexit continues to be negotiated. It’s no surprise that our most popular post this year was Three Brexit tips for importers and exporters. We’ll be putting out further Brexit guidelines in January to help our customers navigate the forthcoming changes. Our primary concern is making sure our customers maintain continuity for their supply chains.
It’s been a strong year for business despite bumpy political roads. International Forwarding Ltd (IFL) continues to go from strength to strength as a leading Midlands freight and logistics company.
In 2018, we added new transport partners to expand our network coverage in France and on our flagship Swiss service. We went fully responsive on our website, allowing us to connect more easily with customers across digital platforms. In fleet upgrades, we took delivery of two brand new CF 260 DAF trucks for greener transport and logistics. And in July, we lived up to our motto of ‘Pride in performance’ when we were awarded Platinum status with Palletways, Europe’s largest and fastest-growing pallet network. Finally in October, we were profiled in Land, Sea & Air magazine in anticipation of our 30th birthday next year.
It’s not all been work work work, though. IFL has a long tradition of community involvement and charity work. In World Cup year, it was lovely to support our local under-8s team with some professional new kit. Other team events included doing the Wolf Run, paintballing and Macmillan’s Coffee Morning.
As the year comes to a close, we’d like to thank you for your continued business and support in 2018. We are a proud independent freight forwarder and we look forward to going the extra mile for our customers in 2019.
