International Forwarding Ltd has increased the capacity of its cargo fleet with a new 26-tonne curtain-side truck, which will be used on road freight services within the UK and on freight forwarding services connecting to Europe. It is 9.1m long with a maximum payload of 14000kg. There is also a sliding roof for overhead loading.
The new rigid truck is part of the ongoing rejuvenation and expansion of International Forwarding’s fleet. Last September, IFL invested in a brand new DAF 18-tonne rigid curtain-sider, and in 2014, we added a new Volvo Tractor unit and two new trailers.
Rob Pike, Managing Director at IFL, said: “We’re really pleased to invest further in our fleet. This underlines the hard work we are putting into building our European freight and logistics services in offering more flexible transport solutions to both our UK and EU customers. We are currently working with more than 20 of Europe’s leading transport and logistics companies to help both UK companies exporting goods to EU countries and customers importing into the UK.”
